Day 1, Friday: Departure Day

Departure day from USA to Istanbul.

Day 2, Saturday: Arrive Istanbul, Turkey

Arrive at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, where you are met by name board and transfer to your Hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 3, Sunday: Istanbul – F/D Old City Tour

Your day begins with a guided tour exploring the ancient city with highlights to include: Blue Mosque of Sultan Ahmet 1 built in 1616 that is famous for unequalled ceramic tiles. You walk across the famous Byzantine Hippodrome where gladiators had fought and chariots had raced. Serpentine Column, Obelisk of Theodosius  and  German Fountain  of  Wilhelm  II  are  the  monuments  decorating  the Hippodrome. Your guide will take you to the Grand Covered Bazaar, the most attractive shopping center and the biggest "souk" in the world with nearly 4000 shops selling antiques, jewellery, gold, carpets, leatherware and souvenir. You will be guided through Topkapi Palace, the Imperial residence of the Ottoman Sultans between 15th-19th centuries. The 6 million square footpalace, the oldest and largest remaining in the world, housed more than 10,000 people and is loaded with extraordinary gold, silver and gem collections, a jeweled throne room and the remains of a 400-roomharem pavilion…(Harem section is not included in the program; if requested extra entrance fee is due) and Hagia (St.) Sophia, one of the greatest marvels of architecture, constructed as a basilica in the 6th century by the Emperor Justinian. Overnight in Istanbul. (B)

Day 4, Monday: Istanbul-Gallipoli & Dardanelles-Canakkale

After breakfast head to Gallipoli. The World War I battlefields of Gallipoli are now a serene site. Visit the Lone Pine Australian Memorial and Chunuk Bair New Zealand MemorialANZAC CoveJohnston's Jolly and Kabatepe Gallipoli. Then you will pass over the Dardanelles by ferry and you will proceed to Canakkale. Overnight in Canakkale. (B,D)

 Day 5, Tuesday: Canakkale-Troy & Pergamum - Kusadasi

After breakfast you will drive to Troy. Your guide will show you the immortal city of the legendary Helen of Troy and of the Trojan horse which was destroyed and rebuilt nine times. After the visit you will proceed to Pergamum. The ancient town of Pergamum was one of the most important centers of culture and artsof its time. Your guide will escort first to the Acropolis, and see the Temple of Athena, the library, the Royal Palaces, the Temple of Trojan, the steepest theater of the world, the Temple of Dionysos, the Altar of Zeus which was referred to in the Bible as "Satan's Seat." Pergamum was a great center of scholarship and learning. Anthony took the library with its 200,000 rolls and transferred it to Alexandria as a present for Cleopatra. Then you visit Asclepion, an amazing ancient medical center. The ruins here are so complete that walking among them one can relive the methods employed in this health center, from sacrifice to psychodrama… Travel along the Aegean coast to Kusadasi and overnight in Kusadasi. (B,D)

 Day 6, Wednesday: Kusadasi-Ephesus-Kusadasi

After breakfast, you head for nearby Efes (Ephesus), where you spend a busy day visiting the spectacular ruins of Ephesus, including the Marble Street, the largest ancient theater in the world, recently excavated monuments, the temple of Hadrian, the Celsus Library and hillside palaces. Then you will visit the House of Virgin Mary. Mother Mary, accompanied by John the Apostle, came to Ephesus at the end of her life. In 1967, Pope Paul VI declared the site authentic and each year a traditional service is held for the pilgrims. Next visit is to the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, which was once one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Overnight in Kusadasi. (B,D)

Day 7, Thursday: Kusadasi-Pamukkale

After breakfast proceed to Pamukkale “the Cotton Castle”, once known as Hierapolis, famous for healing thermal-mineral baths and beautiful snow-white “petrified waterfalls”. You will admire the view of pure-white enormous basins and stalactites created by millions of years of mineral-rich hot spring waters spilling down the hillside. After lunch, visit Hierapolis, including the magnificently preserved Necropolis, the Main Street and Gates, the Thermal Baths, the Devil's Hole, and the Masterpiece Theater. Overnight in Pamukkale. (B,D)

Day 8, Friday: Pamukkale-Fethiye

After breakfast transfer to Fethiye. Rest of the day is free in Fethiye. Overnight in Fethiye. (B,D)

Day 9, Saturday : Fethiye Gulet

After breakfast you will check in to the Gulet. Departure from Fethiye harbor to Samanlik Bay for swimming & lunch. Butterfly Valley is the next stop for a swim and visit this natural reserve, hosting 136 kinds of different butterflies and moths. Afterwards we cruise to Oludeniz (The Blue Lagoon). Last stop of the day is st. Nicholas Island, Byzantine ruins, swim, dinner and overnight on board. (B,L,D)

Day 10, Sunday: Fethiye Gulet

At sunrise we depart for Aquarium or Firnaz Bay near Kalkan, where we will have breakfast and enjoy an early morning swim. Cruising on to Kas, we will visit the quaint fishing village of Kas where we will enjoy lunch. Afterwards we continue to a bay near Kekova for swimming, dinner and overnight on board. (B,L,D)

Day 11, Monday: Fethiye Gulet

Breakfeast on the way to Kekova, the sunken city. Kekova is a protected archeological site from Lycian-Roman periods. After we visit Simena, a traditional Turkish fishing village with no car access and a Byzantine/Ottoman castle for lunch. Later that day we cruise to Gokkaya Bay with optional water sports activities available. Overnight on board. (B,L,D)

Day 12, Tuesday: Fethiye-Myra-Demre-Antalya-Istanbul

After breakfast on our final cruise day, we visit the Pirates Cave, conditions permitting then cruise to Andriace Harbor for lunch. By bus we continue to the archeological site of Myra and to Demre to see the St. Nicholas Church. After the boat tour transfer to Antalya Airport for the flight to Istanbul. Meet and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Istanbul. (B)

Day 13, Wednesday: Istanbul departure.After breakfast transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B)

Day 1: Istanbul - Arrival Day

Welcome to Turkey, you will be pick up from Istanbul Istanbul air port and check in to your hotel, offers a welcome drink and a chat with gourmet experts in Turkish cuisine. Tonight you will have a welcome dinner, be introduced to our friendly crew and other travelers while enjoying traditional Turkish food and enjoy the mystical atmosphere of Istanbul at night.

Day 2: Turkish Cooking Lesson Istanbul

After a morning orientation sightseeing tour of Istanbul, you participate in your first Turkish cooking lesson: preparing lunch which you will enjoy! After lunch visit to TOPKAPI PALACE. The great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries housing an exquisite collection of crystal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures, the Holy Mantle; enshrining relics of the Prophet Mohammed. SULTANAHMET IMPERIAL MOSQUE: Across from St. Sophia built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, is known as the BLUE MOSQUE because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. HIPPODROME: Ancient Hippodrome, the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 3: Safranbolu

08:30am we depart for Safranbolu (From the 13th century to the advent of the railway in the early 20th century, Safranbolu was an important caravan station on the main East-West trade route. The Old Mosque, the Old Bath House and Suleyman Pasha Medrese were built in 1322. During its apogee in the 17th century, Safranbolu's architecture influenced urban development throughout much of the Ottoman Empire.) On arrival we will walk through the historical Safranbolu Bazaar, continuing on to Cinci Hodja Caravanserai, Cici Hodja Bath House, Kaymakamlar House (Museum). We will cook some traditional foods for our dinner with traditional Turkish women. Overnight in Safranbolu.

Day 4: Safranbolu - Cappadocia

After breakfast drive to Cappadocia (4 hour drive). Check in to your hotel. Tonight we have an optional Activity - The famous traditional Turkish Night, here you will enjoy Whirling Dervishes, Belly Dancing & Traditional Turkish Folklore accompanied by traditional Turkish food and drink. This evening comes highly recommended as it is one of the only places in turkey to glimpse the Whirling Dervishers. Overnight Cave Hotel in Cappadocia.

Day 5: Cooking Lesson and Cappadocia Tour

After breakfast depart for local markets with stops for tastings of artisanal food and wine for our lunch. Cooking classes with village women using traditional recipes. After Lunch visit to Visit of Goreme Open Air Museum where rock churches carved by the first christians after the 4th.Century and decorated by frescoes that explain the life of JESUS, is the place where the first religious education was started Climb up Uchisar Castle used as a watch tower and also populated by head of the village. Overnight in Cave Hotel in Cappadocia.

Day 6: Cooking Lesson and Cappadocia Tour

After having had breakfast, participants will take part in the another cooking lesson in Cappadocia. In the afternoon Participants will enjoy a guided tour through the spectacular places of Cappadocia; Derinkuyu Underground City where dwelling was started during the Hittites (2000 BC) and became a big shelter for 12 different nations. Overnight in Cave Hotel in Cappadocia

Day 7: Cappadocia To Egirdir

This morning we drive to Konya and see the imposing green-tiled Mausoleum of Mevlana & museum, the mystic founder of the Sufi sect (Whirling Dervishes). Stop in Egirdir on the southern tip of the most beautiful of the Pisidian lakes. Egirdir is a fine place to stop in the midst of your journey for two days of quiet rest and contemplation. Overnight in Egirdir.

Day 8: Egirdir Cooking Fish Lessons

Egirdir is beautiful and shows another side of Turkey all together. Swimming, boating and hiking can fill a few days if you want to be active. You can also swim in the beautifull natural lake that lies at Ergidir. There are famous fish to be caught here that seem to have no bones The fish is extremly delicious in Ergidir so we will cook fish for ourselves and you can have the famous Turkish drink Raki. There are a number of small farms located in this area where you can see the workers using traditional methods of farming. You will be welcomed by all people in this region. Overnight in Egirdir. br />
Day 9: Egirdir to Pamukkale

After breakfast at 08:30 we depart for Pamukkale. We shall visit the calcium terraces of Pamukkale (cotton castle) and the ruins of Hierapolis, walking around this natural phenomenon gives you the option of lying in the waters of the natural springs that flow down the calcium terraces. Overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 10 : our of Village Sirince
(Breakfast and dinner included)
After breakfast at 08:30 we will depart for Sirince Village. Visit the beautifull village of Sirince and the ruins of 42 churches, the suggested birth place of the Virgin Mary. Sirince Village also has a fantastic reputation for making some of the best wines in Turkey - especially fruit wines. We will visit the vineyards. (Optional: If you would like to visit the Ephesus which is one of the seven wonders of the world, please inform us.) Overnight in Sirince.

Day 11 : Tour of Village Sirince

Today it is time to learn how to make fruit wine with Turkish wine makers. In the evening you will be tested about your knowledge of making fruit wine. Sirince's construction style today belongs to Anatolian Greeks. The houses on the slope are all original with their white paint. There is a good view at the slope all buildings are still original with their white paint. There is a good view at the entrance of the village and its streets are also wonderful. Sirince is very popular for its building style, house, streets and apple wine made by the villagers. In 1922 the Anatolian Greeks immigrated back to Greece and Turks coming from Greece settled there. Overnight in Selcuk.

Day 12 : Selcuk to Istanbul

After breakfast at 09:00 am we will depart for Istanbul. On the way we will pass many traditional villages and we will see the farmers. We will have a break at the one of these farms. We will have a lunch break and continue our way to Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 1
Arrival at the Gaziantep airport, meeting and assistance through passports and customs by the representative of VIP Luxury Travel Center. Transfer to hotel by airconditioned vehicle . Dinner and overnight.
 
Day 2
After a traditional breakfast, an introductory talk of one hour to explain what our guests would see during the day's events from the food lovers viewpoint. It is devoted to explain the role of religion, life style and climate to culinary habits of this marvelous kitchen. After the tour to the biggest mosaic museum of the world : Zeugma Mosaic Museum ,a ceremonial lunch in the world’s famous “Cağdaş Restaurant” .A large , rich , delicious varity of kebaps and desserts will be served and the guide will explain the details of each dish seperately. Day 3

Day 4
After a traditional breakfast,departure to Copper Museum , Medusa Glass Artifacts Museum and Gaziantep Castle . Free time in the old city. Have traditional turkish coffee at the Anatolian oldest Kıraathane (Coffee Shop). Dinner and overnight.
 
Day 5
After a traditional breakfast Depart to magical Euphrates.On the way pay homage to the Zeugma Antique Site; land of the spectacular mosaics , which are exhibited now in the Gaziantep Museum . Visit the Bald Ibis sanctuary and depart to Halfeti, on the banks of Euphrates. A traditional lunch will be served for the guests by the shore of the Euphrates river. Depart to Rumkale,the ancient castle city of Hromgla surrounded by an artificial lake that was created by the construction of the dam, by a traditional boat.With its strategic position overlooking the passages of the Euphrates, Rumkale has been inhabited since Assyrian times. It is considered a sacred place of Christianity where St. John the Apostle copied the drafts of the New Testament and hid them among the castle walls. Visit the church of the great Saint Nerses the Graceful, who served the Armenian people as Patriarch from his headquarters in Hromgla in the 12th century. "He was a great man of God, with strong faith and deep love. Saint Nerses had a special gift for reconciling and peace making between different peoples. It is his moral presence, and also the place where his remains were committed, which make this site holy and special for pilgrims". The ancient ruins will shiver you with their awesome look. You will share the feelings that St. John felt in his room at the end of a secret corridor that can be reached through the spiral well.
Back to Gaziantep. Dinner and overnight.

Visit Gabatepe Museum. Start visiting the fields with Aryburnu Cemetery & Anzac Cove, because these are the places where the war had started. Then The Beach Cemetery, Shrapnel Valley and Plugges Plateau. This is the end of the tour for today. Drive back to the hotel. After having dinner, the night is yours. Overnight in Canakkale.

Day 4 - Troy Tour - Cooking Lesson in Kusadasi
(Breakfast and dinner included)
At 08:45 we will depart for Troy Tour and visit the famous archeological and mythological side of Troy, home of the Trojan Horse and Helen of Troy. After Troy tour we will depart for Kusadasi. Have some rest at the hotel and depart for Cooking Lesson. You will learn to cook the delicious tastes of Turkey, including Turkish Pide bread with Meat, Chees, Patato and many other option and also you will cook Turkish Lahmacun for our Dinner. Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 5 - Ephesus Tour and Making Wine
(Breakfast and dinner included) At 08:30 departure from hotel. Guided tour of Ephesus, one of the best preserved ancient sites in the world en-route, visit the Temple of Artemis, Curetes street, famous Roman baths, Celsus Library, Grand theatreand you will have a Lunch break at a small Turkish restaurant. After Lunch we will visit to Sirince Village also has a fantastic reputation for making some of the best wines in Turkey - especially fruit wines. We will visit the vineyards and it is time to learn how to make fruit wine with Turkish wine makers. In the evening you will be tested about your knowledge of making fruit wine. Day 6 - Kusadasi to Istanbul

After breakfast at 09:00 am we will depart for Istanbul. On the way we will pass many traditional villages and we will see the farmers. We will have a break at the one of these farms. We will have a lunch break and continue our way to Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 7 - Istanbul Cooking Lesson
(Breakfast and dinner included) After breakfast we will depart to make Istanbul Bosphorus Cruise by boat along the waterway seperating Europe and Asia, then visit famous Egyptian (Spice) Bazaar, with elaborate displays of herbs, spices, dried fruits, nuts and other snacks and ingredients. We then we will go to one of the city's most famous baklava shops to watch the masters produce this favorite Turkish sweet. This will be a good experience for you. In the afternoon you will go back to the kitchen for another cooking lesson followed by tea, coffee and goodies. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 8 - Istanbul - End of Tour

2 - Private Istanbul City Tour

We depart at 09:00 for the Istanbul City Tour. Topkapi Palace: The great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries housing an exquisite collection of crystal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures, the Holy Mantle; enshrining relics of the Prophet Mohammed.

Sultanahmet Imperial Mosque: Across from St. Sophia built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, is known as the Blue Mosque because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. Hippodrome: Ancient Hippodrome, the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 3 - Istanbul to Izmir / Kusadasi

Day 4 - Private  Tour

A fully Guided Ephesus Tour starts at 09:00, one of the best preserved ancient ruins in the world. A visit to Ephesus - once the commercial centre of the ancient world - is a highlight of any visit to Turkey. The city, whose wealth and patronage supported its splendid architectural program, was dedicated to the goddess Artemis. Her enormous temple, once considered one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World and rebuilt several times, dates in its latest form from the third century B.C. The tour of the ruins also includes a theatre, gymnasium, agora and baths, as well as the Library of Celsus. Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 5 - Private Day Trip to Turkish Village Sirince

Sirince's construction style today belongs to Anatolian Greeks. The houses on the slopes of the settlement exist today in their original state with their white painted walls. Enjoy the breathtaking views at entrance of the village and experience the lively village streets. Sirince is popular for its unique building style, houses, streets and authentic apple wine made by the villagers. In 1922 the Anatolian Greeks immigrated back to Greece and the Turks settled here in place. There are ancient remains of 42 Churches and Monasteries in and around the village. Sirince is also known as Ephesus in the mountains. Sirince is one of the few Government Protected Areas (G. R. A) of Izmir, meaning its Original Authentic buildings are well preserved. The two Churches in the village center are particularly well preserved dating back to Anatolian Greek times. Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 6 - Private  Tour

08:30 we depart on our tour of Pamukkale Tavertine's and the ancient city of Hierapolis. You will visit Domitian Gate, Colonnaded Gate, and Cathedral, Red waters of Karahayit. After lunch we will visit Pamukkale Museum, and The Travertine's of Pamukkale. Overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 7 - Private Pamukkale to Antalya
(Breakfast included)
After breakfast we depart for Antalya (5 hours drive). Antalya in ancient times covered all Pamphylia that means the land of all tribes. Attalia, the ancient name of Antalya, is derived from that of the Pergamon King Attalos II Philadelphus, who founded the city on the Pamphylian seacoast around 150 BC. It is known that it was visited by St. Paul by way of Perge in 46 A.D., and that it was an important trading centre in the 2nd century A.D. The Emperor Hadrian's visit in 130 A.D. was also commemorated with new monuments. Check into your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to discover Antalya. Overnight in Antalya.

Day 8 - Private Perge - Aspendos Tour

After breakfast depart for Perge and Aspendos (30 minutes drive).
PERGE: According to the Geographer Strabon. Perge was founded by Akhas who came here after the Trojan wars. Perge was first mentioned in 334 BC when Alexander the Great passed through here. In the following years, Perge went under the control of Pergamon when the Kingdom of Pergamon became a part of the Roman city. Especially in the first and the second centuries BC, Perge became one of the richest towns in Pamphylia. Therefore it is not a surprising that St. Paul started his campaign in Anatolia from Perge in 46 AD. After the tour of Pergamon, we will depart for Aspendos. Lunch break on the way.

ASPENDOS: The eastern land of Antalya was called Pamphylia in ancient times. Aspendos (Belkis) lies 47km east of Antalya in the Pamphylian plain. In 486 BC, Greeks and Persians had a great battle here (Greeks won, they didn't stay for long). During the reign of the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius (161-80 AD). Aspendos is most renowned for its theatre, which is the best preserved ancient ruin of the area. It was built by Romans and maintained by Byzantines and Seljuks. The ruins of the ancient city are extensive and include a stadium, an agora, and a basilica. Overnight in Antalya.

Day 9 - Antalya to Cappadocia

After breakfast, we depart for Antalya Airport for our domestic flight to Cappadocia. Transfer from Kayseriairport to your Cave hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore Cappadocia. Overnight in Cave Hotel in Cappadocia.

Day 10 - Private 
(Breakfast included)
After breakfast we shall start our Cappadocia tour including  Open Air Museum, Dervent Valley, and Pasabag Valley. After lunch, we will make a shopping tour in which you will be shown some of the ancient arts of Turkey, including carpet weaving, leather manufacturing and jewellery. As this will be a guided tour, you will avoid being hassled which will enable you enjoy the shopping experience whilst gaining the knowledge of the ancient craftsmen. Free evening. Overnight cave hotel in Cappadocia.

Note: Before the tour there is an option to go hot air ballooning: 
The Hot Air Balloon ascends at sunrise and the majestic ride lasts for approximately 45 minutes; in which we will float through valleys, between fairy chimneys and caves. The balloon will rise approximately 1000 feet in which you will experience the extraordinary views Cappadocia has to offer. On landing, champagne will be served to toast arrival. It is a fantastic journey made by the eccentric landscapes and the rising sun.

Day 11 - Private Cappadocia Tour / Istanbul

After breakfast we head to one of the most interesting sites of Cappadocia: Kaymakli . The Christians hid from the armies of Rome and the raids of hostile tribes in these self sufficient cities in which there were halls for stocks of crops barns, rooms, kitchens & ventilation channels. The second part of our Cappadocia Tour will include Uchisar Castle, Avcilar, and Pidgeon Valley. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 12 - Cappadocia to Istanbul

After breakfast you will have free time for shopping in Cappadocia. The day is yours to enjoy at your own leisure. In the evening we depart for Kayseri Airport for our domestic flight to Istanbul. The rest of the evening is yours to explore Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 13 - Private Istanbul Bosphorus & Two Continents

Enjoy a magical Istanbul Bosphorus cruise and Spice Market tour starting at 08:30. After lunch we will visit the Dolmabahce Palace, Bosphorus Bridge, Asian side of Istanbul.

Egyptian Bazaar: The air here is filled with the enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme and every other conceivable herb and spice.

Bedesten exhibits the traditional silk weaving courses and carpet weaving courses authorised by the Ministry of National Education. Possibility to see jewellery, handicrafts centre and leatherwear show. Free time provided for shopping.

Bosphorus Cruise: A traditional excursion by boat along the waterway separating Europe and Asia. The shore is lined with old wooden villas, palaces of marble, fortresses, and small fishing villages. During the excursion you will pass the magnificent Dolmabahce Palace, and further along, the parks and imperial pavilions of Yildiz Palace. On the coastal edge of this park, is Ciragan Palace, 300 meters of its marble facade faces the shore. At Ortakoy a great variety of artists gather every sunday to display their work along the street. Ortakoy is a symbol of tolerance with a church, a mosque and a synagogue existing side by side for centuries.

Rumeli Fortress: Built by Mehmet the Conqueror in 1452 prior to the conquest of Istanbul was completed in only four months to control and protect the infamous Bosphorus passage. It is one of the most beautiful works of military architecture anywhere in the world.

Beylerbeyi Palace: The summer residence of Ottoman sultans exists in its original renovated glory featuring original antique furniture and magnificent gardens with the Harem on the Asian side of Istanbul.

Bosphorus Bridge: Enjoy a unique chance to step from one continent (Asia) to another (Europe).

Camlica Hill is highest point in Istanbul. At the top of it you can rest and admire the magnificent panorama of Istanbul and the Bosporus from the beautiful gardens, landscaped in traditional Turkish Ottoman style.
